The Sea Monkey Project was started by a family of four who lives on a sailboat called Sea Monkey. This family, Carlos, Sarah, Sydney and Indi sailed to Malaysia from Australia and found as they travelled just how bad the plastic pollution is affecting the environment. So when they reached Malaysia, the second youngest of the crew, Sydney Steenland created The Sea Monkey Project.
They create plastic pollution education programmes and initiatives, build plastic recycling machines and develop products that are made out of 100% recycled materials.
