Take a stance against hunger and food insecurity with Food from the Heart (FFTH)’s newest campaign, Roll It Forward, held in collaboration with Sushi Express!
While food is loved by Singaporeans across all walks of life, many don’t realise that for some Singaporeans, food isn’t always within reach. From 22 October to 31 December 2018, Food from the Heart and Sushi Express are serving up a new and easy way to feed the hungry.
Food from the Heart QR codes are a new donation platform that will be found at all Sushi Express outlets during this period for patrons to make instant donations via their mobile phones.
Beyond donations, the Roll It Forward campaign raises awareness to encourage Singaporeans to extend a helping hand to those who need it most. FFTH supported approximately 35,500 beneficiaries in 2017.
How to Roll It Forward with Food from the Heart at any Sushi Express outlet
1. Look out for the Food from the Heart QR code, which will be accompanied by the Food from the Heart logo and can be found at the cashier counter and sushi conveyor belt areas
2. Scan the QR code with any of these mobile apps: NETSPay, DBS PayLah, Pay Anyone and UOB Mighty

About Food from the Heart
Food from the Heart is a charity founded in February 2003 by Singapore-based Austrian couple Henry and Christine Laimer who were inspired to channel surplus food from bakeries to families in need after they read an article about bread wastage. Today, the independent non-profit is one of Singapore\\\’s foremost charitable food distributors that makes a tangible and meaningful contribution to help fight hunger through bread rations and food packs, and bring joy through the distribution of toys and birthday celebrations. With the support of donors, food industry partners and more than 1,700 volunteers, Food from the Heart made a difference to the lives of 35,500 people throughout Singapore by distributing S$5.5 million worth of food in 2017.
