Fashion from the eighties is making a come-back, and seemingly traditional values such as vegetarianism are re-packaged in today’s sustainability trends. Everything old is new again.
In Raabta (meaning connection in Urdu), NUS Naach explores this very cycle of how everything we consider ‘new’ and ‘latest’ has its roots in the past. This new dance work comprising of 50 dancers relooks our obsession for something new and yet questions how this quest in many ways is about our need for belonging, which links us again to our past.
