Minds Film Festival 2024: Celebrating the Individuality and Abilities of PWIDs
The Minds Film Festival 2024 returns this September with a compelling selection of seven international films over two weekends. Featuring works from South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Hong Kong, the festival highlights the individuality and resilience of persons with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs). These films not only offer a glimpse into the lives of PWIDs but also emphasise the celebration of their abilities and the crucial support of family and community.
Minds Film Festival 2024 – Film Screenings:
Spanning two weekends, from September 14-15 to September 20-22, a selection of thought-provoking films that celebrate the individuality and abilities of People with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) will be showcased.
These cinematic works will be screened at various Shaw Theatres locations, including Lido, Waterway Point, Nex, and Lot One. Featured titles include Ezra (USA), Shadow & Whatever Scares You (Australia), Please Make Me Pretty (South Korea), Spring in Between (Japan), Stand Up Story (Hong Kong), and Poppy (New Zealand). General Public – $15
Singapore Film Society Members and Minds Staff – $12 (Capped at 3 tickets per member/staff per film)
Students – $10 (Capped at 1 ticket per student per film)
Development Disability Registry (DDR) Card Holders – Free Admission (Capped at 3 tickets per DDR card holder per film)
