Crazy about plants? You will love this Linocutting Leaves workshop held on 6, 13 and 20 March Saturday that celebrates the trendy foliage such as Monstera and Begonia. Held by local artist Carlyn Law in her home studio in Pasir Ris, she will guide you on how to make beautiful blockprinting patterns of trendy lush leaves using this technique. You will sketch your choice of two leaf designs transferring the images to the rubber blocks and learning the basics and tips of carving and printing during this 2.5 hour workshop. She will also show you how to create a vibrant mixed media artwork using gouache paint and your stamps. You get to keep your carved stamps 3 x B5 cards and 1 x A4 artwork. Suitable for age 12 and above. Workshop fee: $80 / person; all materials and tea/coffee are provided.
Carlyn Law is an artist and art concierge who is well-versed in watercolour gouache acrylic glass/ceramic/leather paint and linocutting/ blockprinting. She teaches private and lifestyle workshops at venues such as APICS Italian Cultural Centre to engage one in creative thinking and pleasure. She has hosted three mini documentaries and a Sambal art workshop for Singapore Heritage Festival 2020 and her clients include Ralph Lauren Love Bonito and DBS Bank.
