In 2002, Jeremy Monteiro recorded his first jazz tribute album to the music of The Carpenters, A Song For You, Karen.
16 years on, still enamoured with the songs of The Carpenters and still in love with the voice of Karen Carpenter, Jeremy releases a new jazz tribute album Yesterday Once More – A Jazz Tribute to The Carpenters. Besides the title track Yesterday Once More, the album also features A Song For You, I Won’t Last A Day Without You, Top Of The World, I Know I Need To Be In Love, We’ve Only Just Begun and other beloved Carpenters hits given the Monteiro touch, along with the stellar support of his collaborators. This includes the soulful singer Miz Dee Logwood from the U.S., Singapore’s established multi-disciplinary artist Mark Chan and homegrown jazz singer Melissa Tham.
Join Jeremy as he celebrates The Carpenters in this album launch concert, featuring top Asian jazz guitarist Eugene Pao, Thai drummer Hong Chanutr Techatana-nan, and others.
