From 1 to 3 May 2025, ITI presents No Particular Order, written by Joel Tan, directed by theatre practitioner Jean Ng, and performed by the ITI graduating class of 2025: Surendran Ananthan, Kunal Dara, Aditi Venkateshwaran, and Sanat Mehta, hailing from Singapore and India.
Joel Tan’s play begins with the rise of an authoritarian regime, unfolding through a series of vignettes — 18 scenes and 43 characters in total — that take place over 330 years. True to name and in no particular order, the play is designed to feel both contemporary and historical, suggesting that the roots of conflict and the misuse of power have persisted throughout human history, as does humanity’s capacity for resilience and hope.
Catch one of four performances happening from 1 to 3 May 2025 at the Drama Centre Black Box with shows at 8 PM on 1 & 2 May, and 2:30 PM or 8 PM on 3 May.
