Got to Move (GTM), Singapore’s nationwide dance movement, returns for its fifth edition this year. Organised by the National Arts Council, GTM 2019 celebrates the diversity of dance and explores innovative ways of bringing Singaporeans together to discover and appreciate dance.
For the first time, this annual initiative will increase its duration from three to almost four weeks, from 4 to 27 October 2019. With a wide range of over 300 dance activities at more than 50 locations from central spots to the heartlands, anyone can enjoy the free programmes with friends and family. Check out GTM around the island, from studios to performing venues, shopping malls and community centres, and sport centres for the first time.
Some highlights include the GTM Dance-Walk in Sengkang Sport Centre; immersive dance drama The Legend of Bukit Merah which revisits the folk tale; Shall We Dance?, a workshop for couples to create their own special partner dance; interactive dance game Shake & Waddle which encourages the community to dance and mingle; as well as La Fiesta Flamenca, a four-week fitness programme with dance moves, designed specially for seniors!
