Each part of the entire body is connected to every other part via the fascia which binds the body together in different layers through a network of fibres that runs from head to toe without interruption. Fascia web can facilitate or inhibit your body and organs capacity to function properly. Unhealthy fascia adheres to itself and other structures (similar to the way plastic wrap works).
Traditional stretching is passive and the muscle is lengthened until a stretch is felt then pushed farther, with the risk to go too far if you are not conscious enough of your limit… Fascia stretching is active and safer as you don’t need to push the muscles to the full range of motion.
In this workshop we will practice pure stretching and fascia work on upper and lower body so that you can experience the difference, see what works for you. You will get immediate release of your body tensions and come out with concrete tools to continue the work. We will end the session with a deep Gong relaxation.
What to bring: towel, water, yoga belt if you have one.
