The Dover Park Hospice Virtual Sunflower Charity Dinner 2021 will be held on Friday, 15 October 2021, from 7pm to 10.30pm.
This annual dinner is our flagship fundraising campaign where the funds raised will subsidise our patients in providing much needed comfort and care for them and their family members. In the face of the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, Dover Park Hospice remains steadfastly committed to delivering dignified care during each patient’s final days, in spite of the ongoing challenges.
In meeting the increased demand for palliative care as our population ages, we look forward to our move to a new premise at the Integrated Care Hub that is scheduled at the end of next year. We will double our inpatient capacity from 50 to 100 beds and will expand our home care and day care services to serve more patients. With this expansion, we aim to raise $800,000 for the continual provision of quality palliative care.
With the theme “Modern Peranakan”, this year’s dinner aims to combine the rich cultural heritage with a touch of modern element. Guests will get to enjoy a sumptuous 4-course Peranakan menu in the form of a “four hands” dinner put together by Guest Chef Malcom Lee of Michelin-Starred Candlenut and Chef Willin Low of Wild Rocket, delivered right to the doorstep. Celebrity emcee Mr Hossan Leong, host for the night, will be presenting a skit to entertain our guests. Other highlights of the evening include popular Peranakan-themed songs performed by our very own Dover Park Hospice GEMS Showchoir as well as an online auction featuring a Peranakan inspired design brooch, named “Tranquil Sanctuary” by Mr Johnny Lam, General Manager and lead designer of The Canary Diamond Co.
