Calling all young artists! Join our claymation workshop with Lao artist Souliya Phoumivong and you might even get a chance to be part of the next edition of Gallery Children’s Biennale. As a Biennale for, with, and by children, this workshop presents a rare opportunity for our younger audiences to be part of the art-making behind the Biennale.
In this two hour workshop, participants are invited to get a sneak peek to Souliya’s upcoming film commissioned specially for the Biennale. The fun begins when as everyone learns the basics of clay modelling and creating simple shapes and forms. The workshop will end with a short lesson on how to film a scene using the clay pieces made.
All materials will be provided. Please be informed that the artist and Gallery may keep some of the clay pieces made for use in a future commission for the Biennale. More details about this will be shared during the workshop.
This workshop is suitable for children aged 9 years and above.
