Acting is a craft that can be cultivated and should be understood regardless of whether one is an aspiring actor script writer, director or filmmaker, or anyone who wishes to express themselves. Beyond all the bright stage lights, high-tech equipment, lights and editing software one often forgets that the central element to any story in a film is the actor.
Acting consists of the use of the body and the voice, proper understanding of emotional motivation, imagination, character study and other specialized skills. Fundamentals of acting aim to introduce the participant to these elements in five lessons.
