Age of Revelation follows singer-songwriter Inch Chua as Gaia (Mother Earth) as she embarks on a compelling journey inspired by the cycles of Creation, Decline and Renewal.
In this one-of-a-kind sound theatre production, you will find yourself transported through varying ethereal worlds with overtone vocals that are at times tribal, at times raw and moving, blending in with the cello, guzheng, dizi and mridangam. It offers a unique opportunity to reflect on a pivotal question: How can we reimagine our shared humanity and responsibility to nature?
Directed by Andy Chia from interdisciplinary arts company SAtheCollective, Age of Revelation follows Gaia’s creation of a balanced world and humanity’s journey within it.
Originally conceived as a live theatre production and adapted to film during the pandemic, the show now returns to its theatrical roots with enhanced storytelling and immersive techniques.
Weaving in contemporary-ethnic dance forms, electronic music, brilliant soundscapes and new media technologies, Age of Revelation promises audiences an unparalleled, intense and intimate experience like no other.
