Roads in Singapore will be closed for the filming of Hollywood production, Crazy Rich Asians – and we’ve got all the juicy details if you’re looking to stalk your favourite actors and actresses
Ready to get starstruck? What if we told you that Hollywood comedian and Community alumnus, Ken Jeong, is going to be in Singapore along with Fresh Off The Boat’s Constance Wu, Humans’ Gemma Chan, rapper-actress Awkwafina and Star Trek: Discovery’s (and Malaysia-born) Michelle Yeoh? Roads will be closed as these mega-stars shoot a rom-com movie based in our very own city – Crazy Rich Asians. And you know what that means… stalking time!
Cameras on the ready as these stars go all out in action for Jon M. Chu’s latest film – Crazy Rich Asians – based on local author Kevin Kwan’s best-selling novel about wealthy families in Singapore. The upcoming Hollywood feature is mainly shot on location here in Singapore as well as Malaysia, with roads closed for a three-day shoot. Affected areas include the carriageways of Connaught Drive and Fullerton Road on 12 June (from 2pm to 7pm), Bukit Pasoh Road on 14 June (from 10am to 8pm), Victoria Street on 17 June (from 7am to 11am), and directions of vehicular traffic will vary along Ann Siang Hill from South Bridge Road to Club Street on 14 June (from 5am to 12pm). Take note, motorists!
Crazy Rich Asians has started filming since 25 April, and also stars Singaporean actor Henry Golding as the lead character, Nick Young, as well as Pierre Png, Fiona Xie and Tan Kheng Hua. Just remember not to be too intrusive when you’re trying to catch these celebs in the flesh!
