Shanghai’s hottest nightspot is here. Welcome to Singapore, Bar Rouge.
The glamourous Bar Rouge, located within Shanghai’s trendy Bund district, is more than just a swish watering hole for the bold and beautiful. The most famous club in the city is well known for its cocktails, star-studded parties and a spectacular view of the Pudong skyline. We have to admit, the Blade Runner-esque decor, awash in bold neon highlights (that wouldn’t look out of place in a Wong Kar Wai film), is pretty hard to beat; but its brand new Singapore counterpart at Swissôtel The Stamford may just steal the limelight.
The million-dollar view
Sure, Shanghai’s glitterati may flock to Bar Rouge for its spectacular waterfront view, but the Singapore bar is taking it to new heights. It calls the 71st floor of luxury hotel Swissôtel The Stamford home, which means you’ll be soaking up the Marina Bay skyline through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Swirling a cocktail with the best views in town – what could be more Instagrammable than that?
Fancy lights, chi-chi decor and OTT theatrics
True to Bar Rouge style, the club will be decked in shades of red, with futuristic interiors designed by Shanghai-based designers Naço. Party the night away with a custom-built sound system and an electrifying light and laser display setting the mood. Throw in a cabaret-style showcase (think dancers twirling on hoops and sensual performances in cages) for an enthralling spectacle that could rival Moulin Rouge.
Besides bringing some of Shanghai’s most coveted DJs to Singapore, Bar Rouge has tonnes of performances lined up for its exciting themed nights. French DJ Mouss and MC Ekilps will take the stage for a night of electrifying beats this September, so stay tuned.
