The new affordable flight service kicks off in September 2017, and also has a premium class ticket for $839
Not all who wander are rich. If you’ve set your sights on travelling far and wide to cultural meccas like London, New York, Copenhagen and Stockholm, but not that great with the saving money bit, budget airline Norwegian has got your back.
To kick off operations, Norwegian is launching a non-stop service between Singapore and London’s Gatwick Airport this September. And here’s the best bit: fares start from S$199 for economy class to S$839 for premium class tickets – inclusive of all fees and taxes. Sure, we were suspicious and curious about Norwegian and hit up the website immediately and let’s just say that sometimes being wrong feels good.
Norwegian is the third-largest low-cost carrier in Europe, but this is the first time the airline has launched a new service where travellers from Europe can capitalise on Changi’s connectivity to the rest of the region. Of course, that means good news for us, ‘cos passengers from Singapore can now enjoy affordable travel options to some of the best cultural capitals of the world. Sign us up.
