No better way to fuel up or cure a hangover than with a lavish brunch and more dancing at the luxurious hotel in Singapore
It’s one of the most exhilarating events of the year, but boy, can F1 be downright exhausting. There’s the heart-stopping race, the brilliant concerts, and, not forgetting, the no-holds-barred, dance-till-dawn parties… your fully charged phones (and our – ahem – high energy levels) can barely keep up with the madness.
After years of showing up everywhere during F1, there are a few things we’ve learnt (sometimes the hard way) about surviving the hectic race season, and the most fundamental lesson we gained is to, not surprisingly, eat right. Because it’s Grand Prix, a bubbly brunch is the best way to fuel up (pun intended).
For that, there’s the oh-so decadent Riviera Brunch at The Clifford Pier, where you’ll be served with the most lavish gourmet treats. Think an international selection of oysters, Boston Lobsters, Alaskan King Crab Legs, Garlic Roasted Leg of Lamb, Jamon Iberico Ham, Parma Ham, Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib and a selection of artisanal cheeses. Champagne – we’re talking the world’s most luxurious labels like Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label Brut, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and Dom Perignon – are also free-flowing from the bar for the perfect pairing. How’s that for a F1 diet?
Another thing we’ve learnt is to, well, never stop dancing — once you take a break, fatigue catches up! Good news, then, that The Fullerton Bay Hotel’s glamorous rooftop bar Lantern has lined up parties after parties for the entire F1 weekend, plus you’ll get a electrifying view of the Fullerton Hairpin Turn to boot! On Friday, enjoy free-flow Champagne, beer, wine, selected cocktails and a complimentary snack platter from 7 to 9pm; do the samba on Saturday with Lantern’s live band, percussionist and resident DJ from 7pm till late; then groove to guest DJ Sanakan’s addictive beats on race day from 9pm onwards.
The Riviera Brunch at The Clifford Pier is priced at $198++ (for Veuve Cliquot), $228++ (for Ruinart Blanc de Blancs) and $398++ (for Dom Perignon). Available from Saturday 19 September to Sunday 20 September 2015, at 12pm. More details on Singapore Grand Prix parties at Lantern can be found here.
