Local jeweller Carrie K. unveils new capsule collection in celebration of the new Beauty and the Beast movie.
As long-time fans of Disney (who isn’t?), you can bet that we’re eagerly anticipating the release of the new Beauty and the Beast live-action remake, starring our girl crush Emma Watson. 16 March is a long time to wait – but here’s something to tide you over in the meantime.
Inspired by the classic tale, local jeweller Carrie K. has recently unveiled an exclusive capsule collection. The Disney X Carrie K. Beauty and the Beast line features 15 styles that range from ear cuffs to earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings, with each piece handcrafted in sterling silver and plated with 18K gold. In addition, a limited-edition Disney charm will also be introduced to the Carrie K. Bling Bar collection and can be worn as part of a bracelet or as a pendant.
To support Beauty and the Beast star, Emma Watson, and her role as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, Carrie K. founder and designer, Carolyn Kan, will donate a percentage of profits earned from sales of the charm to the Singapore Committee for UN Women. This marks Carrie K.’s second collaboration with Disney, following the success of the label’s Alice in Wonderland jewellery collection last year.
Prices range from $98 for a Tooth White Pearl Ring to to $398 for the Teeth White Pearl Drop Necklace in Rose Gold. The collection will launch on International Women’s Day (March 8) at the Carrie K. Atelier and TANGS Orchard.
