Same destinations around the region and beyond, but all new uniforms are more are abound for Scoot from July 25
Heads up, budget jetsetters. From 25 July, Tigerair will operate under sister budget airline, Scoot, and merge into a single brand. The two budget carriers under Singapore Airlines (SIA) finalised the merger, a process that began in May last year, as the company consolidates to overcome industry competition.
It’ll be a spanking new beginning for Scoot, as it prepares to make changes to its website, aircraft liveries, and even a new uniform for cabin crew. The integrated fleet will include Scoot’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Tigerair’s Airbus A320 aircraft.
But we know what you wanderlusters are thinking. What changes will it bring regarding the destinations? Not much! As it is, Scoot is a medium to long-haul carrier, flying to places like Athens while Tigerair covers short to medium-haul flights. These destinations will continue to be available, so you won’t have to worry about busting the bank if you’re looking for budget travel options. Picked a destination for your next trip already?
