From brunch classics, to small plates, steaks, and cocktails; check out the latest menu updates from one of our favourite Argentine haunts at Robertson Quay
Ahhh…the New Year. While we’re still slowly adjusting back to life in Singapore post-festive holiday, we’re also doffing our caps to the team at boCHINche who are bulldozing their way into 2016 with a corker of a refreshed menu. Time to buckle up in preparation for this gastro overhaul: featuring pimped up brunches, elevated small plates, and a whole host of too-good-to-be-true promotions every day of the week (did someone say free-flow boozy brunch?) – talk about kicking off the new year on top form! And hell yes – we approve! Though don’t cry for meat Argentina; regulars can rest assured that the famed steaks, burgers, and grills remain in situ.
Say farewell to eggs ben (how passé); why not give some of these souped-up brunch options a whirl instead? Dulce de leche pancake, caramelised banana, basil and baked ricotta? Yes please! Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with grilled peppers salad and sea black pudding? That too! Faina and fried eggs with crushed avocado, coriander and aji molido creme fraiche? Delish! We’ll nab that as well!
Though it’s not just the brunch menu that’s had a do-over, for the evening small plates have also been refreshed. We’re drooling at the mere mention of crispy chicken skin, liver parfait, candied walnuts and grapes chutney, or Hokkaido scallops tiradito, tomato water, avocado and yucca. But thankfully, our favourite dish – baked provoleta with almonds and oregano honey – has made the cut and remains on the menu du jour. Excuse us while we make a reservation, pronto.
As if that wasn’t enough good news for you, there’s also a whole host of special offers currently available, meaning every day can be a boCHINche day – huzzah! It’s happy hour (5.30pm – 7.30pm) every day with drinks going for a mere $10 a pop. Every Tuesday (5.30pm – 8.30pm), bag yourself a free beer when ordering a Chimichurri burger. On Wednesdays (5.30pm – 7.30pm), enjoy the scrummy provoleta cheese for free when you buy a happy hour drink. Saturday brings with it an epic two-hour $25 free-flow deal (11am – 1pm).
