Christmas cocktails to try at Singapore’s best bars
1. Chuan by Nutmeg: From Jasmine Gingerbread Sour to Pine Nut Negroni
Celebrate a Japanese winter at Chuan by Nutmeg with a Roku gin base. Meet Jasmine Gingerbread Sour, a refreshing twist on a gin sour thanks to a blend of yuzu citrus, ginger and lemon. The Cinnamon Raisin Punch will feel like a warm hug, with a woody blend of cinnamon and sweet raisin. Pine Nut Negroni is as stiff of a drink as it comes – pine nuts are balanced with raspberry and sweet vermouth. SS G&T will dance in your taste buds with gin, strawberries and… Sichuan pepper. All cocktails are going at $24.

2. Flow Bar: Santas Day Off and Oh Christmas Tree

Flow Bar’s master mixologist Ricky Paiva transports us to a comfy cold winter night with five spirited creations. The name speaks for itself but the mulled wine ($25) is elevated with Wild Turkey bourbon, Pommeau apple liquor, Cointreau, red wine, and spices served with an orange peel and cinnamon stick. Or go breezy with Oh Christmas Tree ($25), an ode to evergreen pine with Botanist gin, green chartreuse, sapinette, lemon, and soda.

3. TXA: Cocktail Flight

Can’t decide what to order? Let TXA take you on a euphoric journey through its cocktail flight ($38). The vibrant cocktails are reminiscent of Christmas in the tropics. Mistletoe, a gin-based tipple, has tart and fruity cranberry and lemon notes. Snow Flake is a coconut rum sensation with pineapple juice, blue curaçao syrup and vanilla. End with a sweet, boozy finish: Gingerbread’s got tequila, triple sec and chocolate bitters.

6. Gudsht

The bottled cocktail label gives us a little razzle-dazzle with two new festive cocktails. Fill the buzz with the rich and creamy Minter Magic concocted with Haku vodka, Kahlua, peppermint syrup, vanilla syrup and milk. The ingredients may be tame but the ABV is 11.7% – quite the kick. But if you’re looking for something light and refreshing, Bling It On (Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, elderflower liqueur, cinnamon syrup, peach bitters and apple juice) is a great accompaniment to any Christmas dinner. We love the dash of edible silver glitter for a dose of silver bells magic. This festive bundle retails at $25.
