Nestled in the north-east of Singapore, Sengkang Swimming Complex is a favourite amongst families. Its crowning glory has to be the giant colourful slides that come in a huge variety. Think multi slides, winding tubes and free falls at the very end. For the little ones, let ’em go wild at the splash-and-slide area, which includes a giant bucket of water that’ll soak anyone silly from head to toe. As for the grown-ups, the calming jacuzzi pool will drown your worries.

Splash-N-Surf
Unleash your inner water baby at this aquatic playground. While the water play area might be reserved for kids, everyone is welcome to float in the lazy river and bask in the afternoon sun. Looking for a wave of adrenaline? Try your hand at bodyboarding and skimboarding at the half-pipe facility.

Jurong East Swimming Complex
Well, Easties can gloat all they want about their pristine beaches, but the west boasts two public swimming pools. And this one is the biggest in Singapore. The west-side gem has a lazy river for you to while the afternoon away, three towering and intertwining spiral water slides for some splashin’ fun, and an uber cool wave pool that will give you an adrenaline rush with its storm-like effect. Oh, and of course, there’s a pool for people who actually want to swim some laps.

Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex
Looking for a lowkey scene? Your best bet is Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex – even if you have to travel far to get to it. This mega public swimming pool has elements of every great water play park. But thanks to its obscure locale, it mostly attracts residents from around the neighbourhood, which means smaller crowds. Depending on your mood, you can grab a float and bob along the lazy river, embrace crashing waves in the wave pool, or simply relax and soak up the sunny rays.

Jurong West Swimming Complex
Though not as big as its Jurong East counterpart, this swimming complex still can hold its own. The water playground is decked out with a three-storey tube slide, which kids can zip down for dizzying fun. On the second floor, swimmers, novices and pros alike can do laps around either of the two 50-metre pools, followed by some recovery time in the jacuzzi or lazy river.

Tampines Swimming Complex
Located on the rooftop of what’s probably the biggest community centre in Singapore, Tampines Swimming Complex is not one to miss. Why, you ask? Well, it’s home to a whopping six pools! From a wading pool for kiddos to a jacuzzi for some R&R and a 50-metre eight-lane training pool to encourage healthy competition, there’s something for everyone. Plus, since it’s sitting plush on a rooftop, you get a beautiful bird’s eye view of the city — Tampines didn’t have to show off like that.

Safra Yishun
An oasis awaits at Safra Yishun. Surrounded by lush foliage and villa-like facades, this swimming complex exudes major beach vacay vibes. Its centrepiece has to be the massive rock structure with built-in slides twining around it, making it a perfect photo op for the ‘gram. For true-blue swimmers, dive into the six-lane, 50-metre Olympic-size lap pool. It might not be open to the general public, but you can enter if you have a friend who’s a Safra member.

Adventure Cove Waterpark Singapore
One for the fam, Adventure Cove takes water play to the next level. Make a splash with its massive slides and water-coasters. And if you prefer nothing too extreme for your lil’ one (or yourself – hey, who are we to judge!), drift down the lazy river, race around the wet maze or jump waves in the main pool. Don’t forget to make a pit stop at the colourful Rainbow Reef where families can get up close and personal snorkelling with over 20,000 aquatic animals!

Wild Wild Wet
Think of it as a swimming complex on steroids. This massive OTT water playground is home to a variety of water rides, including the Kraken Racers, the island’s first four-lane mat racer slide; Vortex, a high speed 360-degree extreme loop ride; and the Tsunami pool, which will raise your bpm in a hot minute with its controlled conditions of choppy waves and dangerous currents. If you’re with the entire fambam, check out the Kidz Zone, which has equally fun water rides.
