One of Singapore’s best clubs near Clarke Quay is having an all-day outdoor party with reggae and hip-hop DJs, Sunday roast, and even a pop-up record store on 30 April
Aside from having a consistently diverse repertoire of house and hip-hop nights, Canvas is one of the local club scene’s top dogs thanks to its chillout-friendly locale by the Singapore River. And if you’re one of those who loves soaking in the alfresco vibe for hours – with a cold one in hand and choons to groove to – you won’t wanna miss this rare block party at the Circular Road hideout.
Happening on the Sunday before Labour Day (begone Monday blues!), this block party at Canvas ushers the party from the club’s swanky confines to the riverside, promising a soundtrack that runs the gamut from tropical reggae and ska to urban hip-hop and drum & bass. Come early – the all-day party starts at 4pm – and fuel up for your dance sesh with Sunday roast and burgers courtesy of The Lab SG. And if all that tunage has got you inspired to invest in some vinyls yourself, Straits Records will be having a pop-up store as well.
Whether your therapy takes the form of grub, shopping or beats for hours, this outdoor party is just for you.
Sunday Block Party, 30 April, Canvas, #B1-01 The Riverwalk, 20 Upper Circular Road, Singapore 058416, p. 6538 2928. Free entry.
