Start the weekend right with a scrumptious spread of American-style brunch favourites like grilled cheese sandwiches and bacon-and-egg wagyu beef burgers along Orchard Road
Been pulling an all-nighter all week? Or did you have a little too much fun last night? Poor you. Whatever’s causing that massive headache or growling in your stomach right now, there’s nothing a good ’ol, all-American brunch can’t fix. Now serving a new morning menu, OverEasy Orchard at Liat Towers has the right remedy for your weekend.

First, recharge those batteries by sinking your teeth into The Hangover Part IV ($22). This whopper of a burger has a sunny-side-up egg, ham, double-smoked bacon, wagyu beef patty, rosti, red cheddar and sweet chilli sauce combo (phew!), all tucked into a toasted English muffin. If that’s not enough, order the Grilled Cheese on Crack ($16) – a sandwich stuffed with braised short ribs, cheese and caramelised onion marmalade – for good measure. Still need a little more juice? The truffled egg toast, ($14) served with two poached eggs, fontina cheese and truffle oil, is a simple but effective way to fuel up for the rest of the day. Go big or go home!
If you balk at the thought of a carb overload before noon, we’ve got you covered. Other new additions to the menu are healthier choices such as the smoked tuna avocado toast ($14), and the smoked salmon and kale pancakes topped with two poached eggs ($16). The Amazonian acai bowl ($16) – that has mixed berries, tropical fruits, toasted granola, organic acai berries and coconut water – is a refreshing and guilt-free indulgence too.

It’s not the weekend without a cocktail or two (Hangover? What’s that?). Don’t forget to round off your meal with some fun and rejuvenating concoctions – the strawberry elderflower fizz ($16), that includes a mix of gin, fresh strawberries and elderflower; or the Pisco Disco ($21), a twist on the popular Pisco Sour, are reliable brunch accompaniments. Otherwise, if you’re still nursing that hangover, there’s always the Bloody Mary ($22) to the rescue.
OverEasy Orchard’s brunch menu is available only on weekends and public holidays ’til 3pm. For reservations, book a table via their website.
