All eyes are on Auchentoshan as the single malt Scotch whisky brand celebrates its urban roots with a sweet takeover in the heart of Chinatown – and it’s nothing like you’d imagined. From now until the end of August, every Wednesday to Saturday night Auchentoshan is bringing delish cocktails and whisky flights to the Original Chew Kee Eating House. And on 14 August, the pop-up opens its doors for Urban Night with Auchentoshan, an exclusive party for Honeycombers readers. For $25, you get three cocktails (additional cocktails at $12), unlimited bites by Kiss My Pans, fun games, live music and endless entertainment!
You might question the unconventional choice of venue but the old-meets-modern concept is befitting to Auchentoshan’s ‘Born & Raised in the City’ campaign. After all, its distillery is uniquely located in the city of Glasgow. This special pop-up that’s just down the road from your CBD office is also hard to miss; anyone can spot the riot of orange neon lights from afar.

On 14 August, Honeycombers takes the helm as we present an urban night party with Auchentoshan. If you’ve been to our past bar hops, you’ll know how we throw a party around here. As the sun dials down from 7pm, join us for amazing whisky cocktails, Asian inspired cheese gazing platter by Kiss My Pans and infinite pictures at the selfie photo booth. Bring your crew and groove to your favourite English and Chinese pop songs performed by a live band. Planning to stay till late? Say hello to an Auchentoshan ambassador and you might even walk away with a cool gift!

Flit to the drinks!
Potential Insta-worthy shots and unlimited entertainment aside, the five Singapore-inspired cocktails are the true heroes. Sip on Kueh- So Nice, a take on traditional Peranakan kueh with a blend of Auchenstoshan 12 Years Old, pineapple paste and a dash of lime.
Fun fact: before Orchard Road became one of Singapore’s best shopping spots, it was once home to fruit, nutmeg and pepper plantations. The Orchard Highball has a refreshing mix of Auchenstoshan Three Wood, ginger and cherry, an orchard fruit. Or try the Kelapa Sea, which translates to coconut in Malay, concocted with coconut water, grapefruit bitters, lime juice and of course, the smooth and delicate flavours of Auchenstoshan 12 Years Old. All cocktails are available at $12.
But if you’re all about variety, the Whisky Flight ($30), featuring a dram each of Auchenstoshan 12 Years Old, Three Wood and 18 Years Old is the way to go!
