Special one-for-one ticket offers to exhibitions, an acoustic night out with friends, kid-friendly workshops, an indoor fiesta – there’s plenty to see and do at ArtScience Museum this March 2018
Looking for things to do in March? Singapore’s iconic ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands is where you need to be if you’re a culture vulture, night owl, or just on the hunt for cool stuff to check out in the city (or all of the above). With special happenings after the museum’s regular closing time of 7pm, along with all-day workshops slated for the upcoming school holidays, March sure does look like an exciting month for anyone visiting ArtScience Museum.
When night falls, the fun begins…
From 15 to 17 March, ArtScience Museum will be opened till 10pm with a gamut of activities lined up for you! On 15 March, 8pm, look forward to an intimate acoustic evening with Singaporean singer-songwriter Leslie Low of The Observatory at ArtScience Late. On 16 March, sample delicious grub like tacos and hotdogs at FabCafe and catch a screening of local film Singapore Minstrel, featuring legendary pioneer busker ‘Silver Man’ and Singapore’s vibrant busking scene. Oh, and did we mention the special one-for-one ticket offer between 7pm and 10pm to all ongoing exhibitions, including ‘Future World’, ‘Treasures of the Natural World’ and ‘Art from the Streets’ will be available on all three nights? Yup, go for it!
Speaking of street art, don’t miss the museum’s first ever live graffiti battle on 17 March, where artists will be challenged to create their masterpieces on the spot. Play judge and vote for your favourites when the time comes. Plus, throughout the three days, there will be a series of masterclasses and activities to partake in if you’ve always wanted to try your hand at creating street art.
School’s out, fun’s in
Got the March school holidays on your mind? Use this opportunity to take the gang to the museum for some good ol’ family bonding time.
From 12 to 17 March, sign up for workshops that teach you and the kids a thing or two about the screen printing process (after which, participants will get to create prints on their very own tote bags); light and colour via various hands-on experiments that involve fun toys like the spectrophotometer; and self-expression through creative techniques such as drawing and mixed media. Workshops are priced at $5 per participant and can accommodate up to 20 people on a first-come, first-served basis, so move fast and book your tickets online now.
