Want to give your brand a sparkling personality? In search of a smashing marketing strategy to lead your business? Brand consultant Anna Seefeldt delivers the goods.
We love entrepreneurs and small business owners at Honeycombers, which is why we’ve created Launchpad, a comprehensive digital networking platform (with IRL benefits, too) that encourages connection, business support and community. It’s a privilege and pleasure to learn from so many talented and inspiring folks, so we’ve decided to share the love by interviewing some of the lovely Launchpad members. Looking for inspiration? Check out how Anna Seefeldt, the founder of Pink Pineapple, gets it done like a boss.
What is your backstory and why did you decide to launch your business?
I’ve been in the industry for most of my life, starting at a young age with my dad’s business. Working with brands like Coca-Cola and Tetra Pak, I learned the importance of customer service, quality delivery, and consistency in the packaging industry. This inspired me to pursue a degree in design management, which led me to work with big brands like Virgin Media, Mini Cooper, and Scandinavian Airlines in London.
However, after moving to Zurich and experiencing a corporate and conservative environment, I realised I needed a change. I’m a fast-paced person who works hard and wants to see results, so I decided to start my own business. And that’s how Pink Pineapple was born!
My goal is to help small and medium businesses reach their full potential. There are so many amazing businesses out there with great products and services, but they often lack the knowledge and expertise to take their companies from good to great. I want to help them become more visible and confident in their growth, which starts with strong branding and marketing strategies.
What has been your biggest challenge so far and how did you overcome it?
I’m bursting with ideas and there’s so much I want to accomplish, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. Prioritising and planning haven’t always been a breeze. Dedicating countless hours to work can be tiring. Setting up our business systems was time-consuming, with many questions to consider. Which programs and apps are best for our needs? How can we best serve our clients while still being efficient as a business? As our team grows, how can we ensure our systems adapt accordingly?
It took some trial and error, but we finally settled on a CRM system and client portals that work seamlessly together. I believe in maintaining a professional and organised process to ensure our clients feel reassured that we have everything under control. While finding the right solutions wasn’t always simple, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and excited to see where we go from here!
How do you stay motivated and energised?
I love what I do, but we all have days when motivation is hard to come by. To keep myself on track, I always have something exciting on my calendar to look forward to. It’s amazing how much more productive I am when I have a scheduled event to work towards!
I also love meeting new people and exploring new places, so I keep a pretty packed calendar with a mix of work events, private events, travels, and family time. Balancing work and play keeps me energised and ready to take on whatever comes my way.
How do you deal with self-doubt or criticism?
Criticism is never easy, but I try to embrace it when it’s constructive. Self-doubt is something we all experience, even if we’re confident at our core. My confidence comes from my upbringing and the support of my friends. I’m not afraid to stand up for myself, but I still doubt my decisions and how my work is perceived. I’ve learned to accept these doubts as a strength, as they keep me focused on delivering quality work.
Even though the doubts may never fully go away, I chose to keep moving forward and not let them hold me back. So far, it’s worked well!
Favourite places to work?
I crave variety and dislike monotony. Our office at No18 is a breath of fresh air, unlike any corporate space. It feels like an exclusive living room, both elegant and comfortable. However, I also enjoy working from home, where I can focus and get things done quickly. Whether in casual attire or dressed for success, I like to switch it up depending on my mood. I can travel freely with just my laptop. As long as I’m focused, I’m good to go!
Favourite business tool?
I love Trello for its user-friendly interface, and we use Kartra for our masterclasses. I aim to be proactive and pursue what I want because “if you don’t ask, you don’t get.”
One thing you can keep talking about for hours?
I can talk for hours about my love for F&B, especially champagne, tea, and creative, quality food. From the health benefits of natural ingredients to the beauty of a creative plate, I appreciate it all, whether it’s simple raw ingredients or fine dining experiences.
Your go-to self-care activity?
Prioritising regular quiet time for myself serves as my go-to self-care activity to balance my busy lifestyle. Though I don’t have a specific routine, taking a distraction-free moment to settle my mind is re-energising.
One piece of advice to your younger self?
Be patient. There’s no need to rush. Your time will come. Trust the process and do what you love. You have nothing to prove to anyone.
