As if Singapore’s dining scene isn’t already phenomenal, here comes the second edition of 4XFOUR to make all foodies worth their salt go weak in the knees.
So hold on to your hats, food cognoscenti: Singapore’s first full-service pop-up restaurant is back with another round of stellar brunches and dinners, served from 13 November to 7 December 2014.
The star-studded lineup alone is enough to make us salivate on our keyboard: Mads Refslund (co-founder of Denmark’s noma; named World’s Best Restaurant this year), Nathan Outlaw (chef-owner of his namesake UK’s two-star Michelin restaurant), Hiroki Yoshitake (chef-owner of Paris’ Sola) and Rolf Fliegauf (executive chef of Switzerland’s Ristorante Ecco and Ristorante Ecco on Snow) will all be in town cooking up a frenzy.
According to the organiser Savour Events, the first edition last year was sold-out with 3,500 diners booked over four weeks, so it’s probably wise to reserve your spots fast this year There’ll be a total of eight brunch sessions (every Saturday and Sunday at 11am) and 22 dinner sessions (every Tuesday to Friday, 7:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 7pm). The brunch menu is a four-course experience ($188 per person with free flow Champagne), while the eight-course dinner menu is priced at $288 per person. Good news for VISA Cardholders! You get a special rate of $168 for brunch and $248 for dinner.
Plus, it’s a do-good doozy affair, too. Action for Aids is the adopted charity for 4XFOUR 2014, and kind folks of Savour Events are donating a cool $20,000 to the independent organisation in their efforts to reduce stigma surrounding people living with HIV/AIDS, and raise public awareness – sweet. November needs to arrive tomorrow!
