Whether you're an early bird or just coming home after a big night out, here's your chance to shake it all out on Sudirman.
If you’ve always wanted to check out the Sunday morning phenomenon that is Car Free Day, this weekend is the perfect time to go. Why? Ever heard of the morning rave craze that hit the globe just around last year? Well, not one to ever miss the bandwagon, Jakarta is getting their own version this Sunday, 30 April 2017. Yep, Potato Head Family’s Kaum is teaming up with local music collective Diskoria to throw a block party of sorts on Jalan Sudirman called Disko Pagi.
Kicking off at 7AM, the morning dance party is a fun spin on the traditional senam pagi (synchronized morning aerobics) as a little pre-party to Kaum Jakarta’s opening in mid-May. Diskoria’s one-of-a-kind curated set will set your Sunday morning mood with authentic Indonesian disco and vinyl like you’ve never heard before, while Kaum’s own Executive Chef Antoine Audran will be whipping up their famous kue lumpur (mud pie) to fuel up after some serious boogieing. Mud pies and disco? Now that sounds like a GREAT way to start the day.
Disko Pagi by Kaum and Diskoria, Sunday, 30 April, from 7am-9am. Jl Sudirman, near Jl. Purworejo (in front of the ICBC Building).
