We may have just found the best diaper bag of 2017. Our Honeykids Jakarta Senior Writer Michelle Santoso tried the Pacapod Lewis for a week - here’s her full review.
Familiar with the saying that says it takes a village to care for a child? What they don’t tell you is that it takes a village of things to go wherever your little tyke goes out too. Parents need to be prepared and armed with all the baby supplies they can possibly fit in one bag, just in time for hungry meltdowns and explosions. We’re talking clean diapers, extra bottles and healthy snacks – yep, mums and dads really do need a one-fits-all diaper bag. That’s why we were thrilled to find the Pacapod Lewis – an interchangeable diaper bag backpack perfect for mums and dads who are always on the go. Read on below to find out why we fell in love with this handy diaper bag and why we’re considering it a timeless buy.
Lewis, the transformer
We loved the convenience of the interchangeable styles. In just a few seconds, we were able to switch from messenger bag to backpack, so anyone using the bag will have a chance to change it according to their individual preference. In short, it’s just a lot easier to convince men to haul around a diaper bag that doesn’t look like a purse. Better yet, the Lewis comes in a few print styles you can choose from and we swooned over the dove tile print as it kept an office outfit extra stylish.
Pockets – and lots of them!
It’s true that a woman can never own too many shoes but it’s also true that a woman with a baby or toddler on the loose can never have too many pockets. The Pacapod Lewis has two kangaroo pouch pockets with two different functions that made maneuvering inside the bag extremely easy. We found that rummaging inside the bag was kept to a minimum and were able to find objects we needed in less than 30 seconds. Lewis has a compartment for everything and still remains lightweight.
What the pod?
Pacapod Lewis is cleverly designed to include two pods for easy organization. Clothes and diapers can be kept in one pod, and the bag even comes with a changer pad and bag for dirty clothes. The other pod was insulated, and kept food and drinks at serving temperature. We were even able to put our laptops inside the cargo area. This will be incredibly useful if you’re travelling outside of Jakarta. Your husband can carry the bulk of items in the bag and you can take the diaper pod out specifically for diaper changes in toilets. After all, toilet space is extremely important especially when you find one that doesn’t have a changing table.
Stroller adaptability is incredibly important and the Lewis is equipped with stroller attachment straps. If you don’t want to hang the entire bag, the pods are designed so that it can hang on its own on the stroller too.
Our final verdict? With its many compartments, interchangeable handles, and stylish design, the Pacapod Lewis is essential for family vacations. Think of it as your personal Mary Poppins bag and a life saver, to say the least.
