KLTR Coffee Roasters
Craving breakfast in Central Jakarta? Start your day right with brunch and excellent coffee at KLTR Coffee Roasters, by the same owner of Koultoura in West Jakarta. Our favourite breakfast item on the menu is their Full Breakfast, a hearty dish served with pork bacon, spicy sausage, tomato, and a fluffy aerated egg. If you’re visiting at a later time of the day, the cafe also serves lunch and dinner. Standout dishes include their Beef Yakimeshi and Truffle Risotto, a must-have for every risotto lover.

One of the latest additions to restaurants now serving poke bowls in Jakarta is Pokey Studio. Originally from Los Angeles, you can find this hot new poke bowl spot inside Crumble Crew in SCBD. Big eaters prepare to be delighted, as they serve huge portions of fusion poke bowls with a choice of raw tuna and salmon, grilled chicken, salted egg salmon skin, or grilled organic tofu for vegans. Want to have your poke bowls in the form of tacos? Come every Tuesday, as Pokey Studio has a Taco Tuesday deal where diners can get three tacos with the same toppings as their signature poke bowls.

Pardon My French
Located opposite Sarinah, Pardon My French is the hot new French-inspired Japanese café and wine bar that everyone’s been talking about. The concept is pretty unique, because it takes inspiration from the true meaning of “Pardon My French”, usually uttered in an attempt to excuse the user for swearing. The mascot of the restaurant, a big bear who seems drunk from drinking too much whiskey, sits down at the bar, and satire posters are placed on the front wall. When you’re there, make sure you don’t miss their Poke & Chips, Truffle Wagyu Don, and their recommended desserts, Ube Bomb and Cornflake-Crusted French Toast. If you’re a fan of Kopi Susu, you’d also love their Latte Kampungan and Dome Latte, which uses Milo powder on the top.

Bae by Socieaty
It’s always wine o’clock at Bae by Socieaty, where you can have a free flow of wine daily from morning to night. A new establishment under the same management as Socieaty, Momozen and Shabu Shabu Gen, the restaurant serves hearty Asian and European food. Favourites include Cassava Nachos, Doperlamb Ribs, and of course their spicy Bebek Matah fried rice. Pizza lovers can also rejoice here because they have a great variety of pizzas such as Cabe-Cabean, Buntut Sambal Ijo, Pollo Rica Rica, and Martabak.

Call yourself a pizza lover? Then you must have heard all the buzz about Pizza Place, a new pizzeria in Kemang inspired by New York’s urban pizza joints. The place may be small, but the pizza you’re about to have there is huge! Pizza Place serves pizza by the slice, and in terms of presentation, it may not look too glamorous as it’s only served on a simple paper plate you’d usually use for a pizza party, but when something tastes as good as their slices and comes in a sinfully big portion – who really minds? Not us, obviously!
