From local coffee roasters to cosy cafes, discover our favourite places for drinking coffee in the Senopati neighbourhood.
We’ve combed the capital to round up our favourite coffee shops in Jakarta, and with so many excellent cafes out there, we’re dividing them up by neighbourhood. This time we put the spotlight on the trendy Senopati.
Crematology Coffee Roasters
Crematology is our go-to spot when we’re looking for a quiet and cosy cafe to park ourselves for the day. The owners are passionate about their coffee, and sources rare specialty beans from all around the world. Their baristas know their business with excellent espresso based drinks. There is also simple comfort food on the menu to fill your belly. Crematology has now expanded their empire with two new locations in Kuningan and West Jakarta, but we’ll always love this original one.

Anomali has been a Senopati staple long before Senopati became Senopati. The local chain is always busy with scores of city-slickers looking for a big dose of buzz. Anomali takes local coffee very seriously, sourcing Indonesian beans from Papua to Aceh. To satisfy your caffeine cravings, choose from cups of single origin or espresso based brews. Those who want to take their coffee knowledge a step further can also sign up for their coffee classes held on-site.

Kanawa Coffee and Munch
This minimalist coffee shop is a striking spot to get your boost of caffeine in the neighbourhood. Beans are roasted by Coffee Smith, and brewed into top notch cups of joe by their dedicated baristas. Espresso and manual brews are available, and with more hot snacks and heartier plates on the menu, you could easily spend the whole day here.

Mister Sunday is a hot new brunch spot that is usually busier on the weekends, and quieter from Monday to Friday. Cozy and minimalist, this cafe has ample seating for diners, although the weekend crowd makes it a bit of squeeze. The main draw: their moist homemade brownies (with cream cheese or salted caramel) that pair perfectly with your flat white.

For those who actually like their coffee drinks as desserts should try out Caribou Coffee.
