Health-conscious foodies can expect to be spoilt for choice at Blue Terrace Cafe, with an extensive menu range that serves diners from day to night. Start the day off strong and sweet with a highly nutritious brekkie like their Open Fruitful Sandwich, a multigrain toast served with a dab of low-fat ricotta cheese and topped with a mix of antioxidant fresh fruits. Blue Terrace Cafe’s vegetarian-friendly options don’t stop there with savouries that include their Mediterranean Couscous, a semolina salad topped with pomegranate, cranberry, almond, black sesame and basil tossed with red wine vinaigrette. If you’re in the mood for soup rather than salad, try their Cauliflower and Truffle Soup, made with sautéed shimeji and walnut.
Staying clean but need a proper dose of protein? There are healthy but hearty seafood dishes like Blue Terrace Café’s signature Refreshing Salad, made with crab meat tossed with avocado, celery, fennel, green apple, pomelo, mint and coriander; and Seared Yellow Fin Tuna, served quinoa salad, carrot, capsicum, beetroot, cherry tomato, quail egg and candlenut pesto dressing – our favourite. Be sure not to miss signature dishes like Green Goddess Bowl, a chicken salad made with kale, spinach, avocado, olive and pine nut seasoned with a nutty sesame Japanese dressing; or their Baby Gems Wrap, an Asian lettuce wrap stuffed with roasted duck, kyuri, crushed peanut, coriander and tamarind seasoning.
Extend your dinner into dessert with their innovative veggie-based treats. That’s right, Blue Terrace Café has your back sweet toothed Honeys. There’s their Caprese – not the salad, but a Tomato White Chocolate Mousse with basil gel, white micro sponge and mascarpone gelato! Also try their Fantasy on the Corn – a corn cake with spiced chocolate cremeux, yoghurt gelato and lime. Matcha lovers will love Matcha Loves Ogura, a Yuzu almond tart with matcha, ogura ice cream and lemon meringue. Good luck with deciding which dessert you want to sink your teeth in first!
Of course, one can’t forget their refreshments. Get more than your daily dose of greens in a freshly whipped smoothie where you can layer kyuri, kale or bokchoy with fruits of your choice to really hit the spot.
And it’s not only Blue Terrace Cafe’s superfoods that pack a punch – so does its interiors. Inside, its modern indoor garden setting flush with blossoms and soothing greenery is perfect for picture taking and dining out with your girls. If you prefer, dine al fresco in its open-air patio to enjoy the warm afternoon breeze while sipping on an ice-cold refreshment.
