1. Jet off to Hong Kong for the long weekend
December kicks off with a long weekend, and if that’s not a good way to start December we don’t know what is. If your original holiday plans included a quick trip to Bali but it’s been put on hold because of the volcano eruptions why not make a dash to an urban kind of island instead? Held on 3 December, the concert will feature performances by renowned Polish singers, Ewa Biegas and Szymon Kobylinski, and conductor Teresa Krasowka, and also the Nusantara Symphony Orchestra who will play renowned songs like Hymns Ave Maria, Agnus Dei, Panis Angelicus and Laudate Dominum.

14. Watch Beyond Therapy, a play performance by The Jakarta Players Community Theatre
Up for a comedy night for some good laughs? Watch the Indonesian premiere of Christopher Durang’s most popular comedic play “Beyond Therapy” and get entertained by the story of two Manhattanites, Bruce and Prudence, who are seeking stable romantic relationships with the help of their therapists. Presented by The Jakarta Players Community Theatre, the play performance is held at the Auditorium of Institut Français d’Indonésie (IFI) in Thamrin from 8 to 10 December.
15. Learn to arrange Christmas Flower Basket for the holiday season
Let’s deck the halls and add festive cheer to your home with Christmas Flower Baskets, which you can make yourself by joining Mau Belajar Apa’s workshop with Jennifer of The Pink Fleur Delys.
