This lefty foil fencer will once again be competing in the Men\u2019s Foil category in Fencing \u2013 a category he has excelled at in previous World Cups, Grand Prix, and Asian Championships. Hong Kongers will definitely be glued to their screens when Cheung takes the piste, undoubtedly hoping for a two-peat victory. Get ready for the \u201cCheung Ka-long effect\u201d 2.0!<\/p>\n<h3>2. Having represented the city since the Rio de Janeiro Games in 2016 and won not one, but two silver medals for swimming in the 2020 Tokyo Games, all goggles will be on Haughey to see if she nabs gold this year. You can look forward to seeing the Irish-Hong Kong athlete fly through the pool in over five Swimming categories, including her previously victorious 100m and 200m Freestyle races.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Joining the roster of Hong Kong athletes for the 2024 Olympics, Lo is the first-ever HK qualifier for Taekwondo! Although the route to this momentous achievement was a bit wavy, his three wins in the 68kg category at the Asia Olympic Games qualifiers look promising. Be sure to watch the city make its Taekwondo debut as Lo steps on the mat!<\/p>\n<h3>4. A lefty like fellow fencer Edgar Cheung, Kong will be competing in the Women\u2019s epee category \u2013 the same category where she\u2019s won gold at numerous World Cups and Grand Prix. Already etched in the history books of Hong Kong with her fierce fencing skills, we\u2019re hoping Kong keeps her winning streak going in Paris.<\/p>\n<h3>5. Competing in the Women\u2019s 200m Backstroke, this young Hong Kong athlete has won several Hong Kong Age Group Swimming Championships with this stroke. Qualifying to swim at the Olympics before she could legally drink, she\u2019s already wowed the rest of us back home!<\/p>\n<h3>6. As they\u2019ve already won the 2024 BWF Super 300 German Open, we\u2019re crossing our fingers that these talented shuttlers make the podium this year! Watching these two lefties dominate the court will be a nail-biter \u2013 hopefully all the way to the finals.<\/p>\n<h3>7. Among the line-up of top Hong Kong athletes is para-badminton player, Daniel Chan Ho-yuen. Having won bronze in the Men&#8217;s Singles WH2 category for the first ever Paralympics Para-Badminton competition in Tokyo, Chan will hopefully reach the podium again this year.
