The third-highest peak in Hong Kong, the journey to the top is not for the faint of heart – with a fierce uphill climb. Most begin their hike at Pak Kung Au between Sunset Peak and Lantau Peak, and are prepared for a distance of about 9km in total. However, come magic hour the gruelling trek will be worth it for the stunning, sweeping view at Sunset Peak. Pro tip: hike up during the autumn season to witness the beautiful silver grasses on the hillside.

Sunset Peak, Southern Lantau Island, Hong Kong

7.
