Luckily, the Hong Kong and Singapore governments have been working on a plan to make travel between the two destinations a reality. Here\u2019s what we know about the Hong Kong-Singapore travel bubble 2021 so far…<\/p>\n

Get excited for the Hong Kong-Singapore travel bubble 2021<\/h3>\n

\"Singapore\"<\/p>\n

1. The Hong Kong-Singapore travel bubble will kick off on May 26<\/h3>\n

The latest report from the Hong Kong Government advises that passengers can start flying to Singapore from 26 May. To begin with a cautious approach, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific will provide one flight per day for two weeks, carrying a maximum of 200 passengers per flight. If the virus is still under control in both cities and the travel bubble launch does well, the number of flights will increase to two per day from 10 June (fingers, toes, and everything crossed!)<\/p>\n

2. There will be no quarantine<\/h3>\n

Fear not, Hongkongers! One of the benefits of the travel bubble is that nobody will have to quarantine with these trips. A cheeky long weekend away is looking closer and closer… Singapore and Hong Kong have both been seeing decreased cases of the virus, which is why this agreement has been reached.<\/p>\n

Here’s where to shop masks in Singapore<\/a> just in case you need to stock up.<\/p>\n

3. Vaccination is mandatory<\/h3>\n

To protect everyone, all passengers flying from Hong Kong to Singapore must be fully vaccinated with either Sinovac or BioNTech at least two weeks prior to departure. You must also have not travelled elsewhere two weeks before your flight. Travellers must under-go a Covid test 72 hours before the flight and provide a negative PCR result. Passengers are required to download the contact-tracing apps from each location upon arrival.<\/p>\n

4. There will be designated flights<\/h3>\n

If you want to get on board with the travel bubble you will have to book on to designated flights between the two destinations. These will be run by Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines on intermittent days until 10 June when two flights per day may be introduced.<\/p>\n

Singapore Airlines will operate the Singapore-Hong Kong route via flight SQ882, with the return flight SQ883.<\/p>\n

Cathay Pacific will operate flights CX759, returning as CX734.<\/p>\n

5. No restrictions will be placed on the purpose of the trip<\/h3>\n

Whether you\u2019re heading to Singapore on business, looking to stay at one of the lush Sentosa hotels<\/a>, or planning on spending some time outdoors with the kids<\/a>, there will be no restrictions as to why you can visit The Little Red Dot.<\/p>\n

6. Only on until 10 June… for now…<\/h3>\n

So technically this agreement is a trial and will only run until 10 June. It’s expected that if both governments feel it’s working that they will extend the dates.<\/p>\n
