We are big fans of speaking openly on topics that have often been considered taboo, including menstruation<\/a>, coming out,<\/a> and period cups<\/a>. But one of our fave topics is definitely sex! Founded by three long-time friends and entrepreneurs, Fk is a new collective that wants to make sure that we\u2019re all having a good time, and we’re all about it.<\/p>\n

Breaking down barriers around what happens in the bedroom (and outside of it)<\/h3>\n

Launched in the midst of COVID-19 by long-time friends Edwin, Petra, and Adam, the goal of Fk is to break down all of the negative stigma that surrounds sex, sexuality and sexual wellbeing in Hong Kong. Coming from very different backgrounds\u2013 including design, statistics, and photography\u2013the trio wanted to create a business that combined work and play, and thanks to Adam\u2019s previous experience in the sex toy industry, Fk was born.<\/p>\n

Side note: Fk, was originally going to be called Famous Kittens, but was abbreviated, somewhat fittingly, over time to Fk (just say the letters.)<\/p>\n

The collective aims to challenge the traditional attitude that many people in Hong Kong hold around sex, sharing accurate knowledge and breaking down judgements and misunderstandings in the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cDiscussing sex and sexuality in Hong Kong was sort of taboo when we were growing up here. And at school, all the education was around reproduction; it was just very factual,\u201d explains Adam.<\/p>\n

Petra continues: \u201cSexuality is a such a broad spectrum. There\u2019s so much to talk about like gender, and pleasure, and identity, and consent, and relationships, and we\u2019re still learning about all of it through scientific research. So we want to bring those topics to the forefront, educate people in a fun way, and try and change the way people think about these things.\u201d<\/p>\n

We love the collection of sex toys available through Fk, which includes everything from the famed Womanizer to bedroom restraints to rabbit tale butt plugs, and even Creme Br\u00fbl\u00e9e Lubricant. Over time, more lifestyle items will be added to the store, such as condoms, pads, and tampons, and even works by local Hong Kong artists.<\/p>\n

Along with the retail space, the team has podcast where they chat with educators, NGOs, drag queens, psychologists and the regular joe\/jane about sexuality and relationships. Have a listen below.<\/p>\n
