If you&#8217;re feeling unsure, read on to learn more about blood donation in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<h2>Your FAQs about blood donation in Hong Kong, answered<\/h2>\n<h3>Is donating blood dangerous?<\/h3>\n<p>No, donating blood is not dangerous. <strong>New, sterile disposable equipment<\/strong> is used for each donor, so there&#8217;s no risk of getting AIDS or any other blood-borne infectious diseases from giving blood. Plus, to ensure you&#8217;re healthy enough on the day, you&#8217;ll receive a <strong>health screening<\/strong> at the beginning of the appointment to check your temperature, blood pressure, and haemoglobin.<\/p>\n<p>Donating a pint of blood takes about <strong>10 minutes<\/strong>, during which you\u2019ll be seated comfortably or lying down. After donation, there are drinks and snacks offered to help you rest up and replace the fluids lost. Have you received vaccines or dental treatments recently? Have you had tattoos, piercings, or acupuncture within the last six months? You&#8217;ll find them all across Hong Kong in areas such as Central, Mong Kok, Sha Tin, Kwun Tong, and more, allowing convenient service.
