Smack dab in the middle of the city, Victoria Park has hosted a few high-profile tournaments in its 3,600-seater tennis centre court. It also has 13 courts that anyone can book, making it one of the best public tennis facilities accessible to Hong Kongers for free. Aside from being clean and well kept, Victoria Park is a great place for sports in general, with a jogging trail and football pitch, in addition to the tennis court.<\/p>\n

Maintained by the Hong Kong, China Tennis Association (HKCTA), this Tennis Centre in Kowloon Tsai Park offers eight courts, plus services like coaching and fitness training. It costs up to $57 per hour to rent a tennis court with floodlighting, and as little as $10 per half hour for a practice court with no floodlighting \u2013 not bad at all!<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t be fooled by its name \u2013 Hong Kong Football Club offers much more than just pitches on its premises. With six all-weather courts perched on the building\u2019s rooftop, players can practise while enjoying the view of the Happy Valley skyline. It should be noted that only members can book these tennis courts, but with the HKFC Tennis Society regularly holding socials, tournaments, and junior leagues, a membership is more than worth it.<\/p>\n

Another members-only facility nestled between Stanley Main Beach and Turtle Cove, The American Club\u2019s Country Club is a beautiful place to play tennis in Hong Kong. Boasting three AstroTurf and three clay tennis courts, this location offers the spice of variety in terms of court surface. The club also provides ball machine rentals, coaching sessions, and social mixers. If you\u2019re a clay player in Hong Kong, definitely check out The American Club!<\/p>\n

5. Ladies Recreation Club (LRC)<\/h3>\n

Next on the list has to be the Ladies Recreation Club in the Mid-Levels. The LRC offers 10 courts, including two indoor tennis courts. You get a good variety of court surfaces here as well, with the option to play on synthetic hard and clay courts. This place is super swanky, having pools<\/a>, bars<\/a>, a bowling alley<\/a>, and many other facilities. The only downside is that you need to be a member, or accompanied by a member, to enjoy these benefits.<\/p>\n

6. Discovery Bay Recreation Club (DBRC)<\/h3>\n

With its vibrant tennis scene (and hot tennis coaches, apparently), DB has several tennis courts in the area. The Discovery Bay Recreation Club has 11 courts, with a variety of hard and soft ones. Over at Club Siena, which is also managed by the DBRC, there are another five courts to play and take classes on. However, like most other clubs on this list, you\u2019d need to be a member of the Club, or accompanied by one, to use the facilities.<\/p>\n
