But, when it comes to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/hong-kong\/japanese-restaurants-in-hong-kong\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Japanese restaurants<\/a>, we\u2019re pretty specific about what we enjoy. How? Dark green walls sit next to natural finishings and abstract portraits, masks and luxuriously textured seating. Quite frankly, the restaurant is a showstopper on the design front, and definitely a good spot to take someone you\u2019re looking to wow\/apologise to.<\/p>\n<h3>What about that food?<\/h3>\n<p>Touted as modern Japanese cuisine, the menus at Honjo are filled to the brim with delicacies that will make any J-phile swoon. Open for lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends, you can pretty much get your fix at any time of day.<\/p>\n<p>The lunch options on weekdays come in two pricepoints: The Dreamer Express Lunch for $298 or The Traveller Business Lunch for $448. We went for the big-boy Traveller Business option and were absolutely stuffed by the end (you have been warned.)<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_171956\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-171956\" style=\"width: 1400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-171956 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/hong-kong\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2020\/04\/Honjo-Wagyu.jpg\" alt=\"Wagyu\" width=\"1400\" height=\"933\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1400px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1400\/933;\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-171956\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sample sublime Wagyu at Honjo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We sampled magnificent dishes such as Avocado Puffs with tapioca puffs, wasabi, avocado mousse and sushi rice (yum!), and Otoro with Thai basil, yuzu soy and red onion (double yum!)<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a choice of sushi or sashimi set (we had both &#8211; divine) and also a main option, where my dining partner devoured a tasty Wagyu striploin while I had a mighty fine prawn tempura with udon.<\/p>\n<p>Of course sweet treats are to follow and we tried both the Matcha Lava and the Kuromitsu Cheesecake.<\/p>\n<p>Some of these dishes feature in the extensive dinner menu, where you can do a set menu of ala carte. You get starters, access to the sushi\/sashimi counter and all the oysters you can eat, plus you get to choose your own main and sample a selection of desserts.<\/p>\n<h3>A-class service<\/h3>\n<p>Every single we\u2019ve been to Honjo, we\u2019ve been astounded with the service.
