Oh, yes, we love to eat. From hearty salads<\/a> to Mexican delights<\/a> and all of the brunches<\/a> we can handle, we are always down to sample the best of what\u2019s on offer in the city. And if you\u2019ve got a hankering for good ol\u2019 chicken wings, then Wingman in Central will be your new best friend.<\/p>\n

You can be my wingman any time<\/h3>\n

I am far from a health freak… my drinks cabinet will vouch for that, but in general I tend to avoid deep fried food, as it can become rather moreish. Moderation in life is the key, or so my heroin dealer tells me.<\/p>\n

As a treat however, Wingman was great fun! Expect delicious food served fresh from an open kitchen, a light-hearted atmosphere throughout, and a great 70s funk album playing in the background to really whisk you away from the city during your lunch hour or over dinner.<\/p>\n

A bright and fresh colour scheme echoes a retro diner and sets this place apart from similar establishments. The menu is inviting and artistic, but it\u2019s the restaurant\u2019s name that gives away the theme, so if you don\u2019t do chicken wings, you are Goosed!<\/p>\n

Turn and burn<\/h3>\n

I ordered the lunchtime special, which is very reasonably priced at just $88 for a salad, 10 wings, a side dish, and a drink, sat back and soaked in the friendly buzz emanating from the lunchtime crowd.<\/p>\n

I would note that the decor may imply it is a fast food joint but it is not, so be prepared for standard restaurant waiting times. After a 16-minute wait for food, plus the obligatory 5-minute cooling period, I took my first bite… and it was well worth the wait. Really tasty wings were the order of the day, and the sweet potato fries are an absolute must.<\/p>\n

20 minutes later, covered in seasoned grease (standard Wednesday afternoon for me, really), I was done! My taste buds were sated by the array of available flavours (try the \u201cSingapore Zing\u201d, inspired by Chili Crab if you like an extra kick), and I left happy and content.<\/p>\n
