Recently opened in Sai Ying Pun, Homeslice is a buzzing Neapolitan pizza restaurant and bar that delivers a comprehensive array of authentic Italian dishes with a contemporary twist. There are meaty choices, as well as a number of vegan and vegetarian options. We sampled the Panzanella salad &#8211; which is vegan, made with fresh tomato, soaked bread, basil, cucumber and onion. It may come across as a simple dish, but it\u2019s beautifully flavoured, seasoned with a zesty dressing, and topped with the freshest ingredients &#8211; those juicy tomatoes were ridiculously good. It consists of mortadella cutlet, pickled cabbage and sriracha mayo. It\u2019s a very unique yet delicious combination, and it\u2019s our photographer\u2019s favourite. He devoured it in no time!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/hong-kong\/vegan-in-hong-kong-restaurants-makeup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Being vegan in Hong Kong<\/a>, you can hardly find any vegan pizzas around &#8211; the pizza crust always winds up with either dairy or eggs. That\u2019s why Homeslice has just become my new favourite. They&#8217;ve rolled out their dough thinly enough to get just the right pizza texture. Made with grilled eggplant, zucchini, olive, rosemary and tomato, the pizza was an appetising healthy alternative to traditional cheese-loaded pizzas. Not to mention that the extra capers and basils added a layer of depth and complexity. <\/p>\n<p>While there are many veggie options on the menu, the Spicy Sausage pizza is a winner for us as well. Made with fermented chilli sauce and cr\u00e8me fraiche, the pizza was indulgent, savoury and indeed very spicy!
