Having played support to bands like Yuck, The Cribs, <\/span>The Bilinda Butchers<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Beach Fossils<\/span><\/a>, you\u2019re probably familiar with local shoegaze and dream pop darlings Thud. Since their critically acclaimed debut EP Floret released in 2015 (and limited cassette Prime of Pride in between the years), music fans have been dying for more. And finally, Thud released their long-awaited single Ado, along with the promise of a 7\u201d vinyl later in 2018. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ado by Thud. What\u2019s it about?<\/b><\/h3>\n

According to Kim, lead singer of Thud, Ado is about the nuances and little fusses in life that you can\u2019t escape from, as well as the sad realisation that all flames of passion can burn out eventually. Featuring two tracks – Ado on A-side, Still Still on B-side – new single Ado exudes a cheery tone thanks to the much faster rhythms on both tracks, though the sentiment behind it is actually much more depressing than it appears to be (and that\u2019s why we love it).<\/span><\/p>\n
