Luckily, The Strand in Central offers the Tranquility Pro Sleep Massage to help its customers form better sleep patterns, as well as to unwind and unload the stress.<\/p>\n

Although The Strand is in the middle of Central, you feel like you are in another world in the treatment rooms<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

To be honest, I rarely have trouble sleeping, as Honeycombers Hong Kong always has me on the go, but I was still excited to try the Tranquility Pro Sleep Massage at The Strand, as I am a big fan of sensory exploration and light-touch massage. The treatment is not just for those with sleep or jet lag issues, rather anyone with anxiety, stress, depression or just Hong Kong malaise will benefit.<\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t visited the spa, it\u2019s a beautiful little getaway in the middle of Central that has you tuning out life in no time thanks to its relaxed vibe. The staff are amazing and more than happy to educate you on any parts of your treatment that you have questions on – my therapist Tamara shared loads of information with me pre-treatment so I knew the theory behind the concept.<\/p>\n

A sensory journey to sleep<\/h3>\n

All of the products used during the massage have a high butter and oil content, so they feel silky smooth<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The treatment itself harnesses the different senses to make you drift off, not just on the table, but also further into your day, so I\u2019d recommend booking in on a day when you don\u2019t have too much on afterwards.<\/p>\n

Immediately, the music that has been especially composed for the treatment lulls you into a place of relaxation, with the slow, hypnotic rhythm helping to quiet your brain. Then, a range of essential oils – selected for their anti-stress properties – waft through the air to create an amazing aroma in the room.<\/p>\n

Tamara then started the massage component, which was sublime. Rather than getting in hard with the deep tissue massage, she used extremely soft brushes that stimulate special nerve fibres that have recently been identified as having relaxing effects on the brain – go science. The Tranquility products that are used also have a high butter and oil content, making the whole treatment feel nice and silky (I\u2019m feeling tired just writing this.)<\/p>\n

On top of that, the Tranquility Pro Sleep Massage uses products that are produced using energy from renewable sources and with 100% recyclable materials, which basically means that if you don\u2019t try it out, you are harming the environment; plus snoring is guaranteed.<\/p>\n
