Thankfully, LA CREMERIE has opened in Wan Chai, on a mission to deliver the best French cheese to the people of Hong Kong, and to help educate us in the process.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The team at LA CREMERIE imported an authentic cheese master (she\u2019s actually a mistress) to help select the best French farmhouse cheeses to its intimate spot on Swatow Street in Wan Chai. These are not cheeses of your average supermarket variety, but lesser-known products, many of which come from family-owned farms all over the French countryside, such as <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Extra old vintage Mimolette, Beaufort Chalet d\u2019Alpage and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Coeur de Neufch\u00e2tel &#8211; which is shaped like a heart!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Our picks<\/b><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_142790\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-142790\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-142790 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/static.thehoneycombers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/09\/La-Cremerie-Hong-Kong-Wan-Chai-cheese-shop-sour-cream-butter-styled-e1505116190558.jpg\" alt=\"La Cremerie Hong Kong Wan Chai cheese shop sour cream butter styled\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 900px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 900\/600;\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-142790\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The sour cream from Normandie is out of this world<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There are so many cheeses to try at LA CREMERIE, and the team is happy to offer you samples so you can find out what you like.\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We tried a number of different varieties and absolutely fell in love with the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rove des Garrigues, a stunning goats cheese that lasted in the fridge for about 24 hours before being demolished. The cheese is made from the milk of a rare breed of goat that feeds on woodland pastures, giving the cheese a unique herby flavour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Another favourite was the Gaperon in Black Pepper and Garlic. Hailing from the Auvergne region, this cow\u2019s milk cheese is shaped like a dome and goes well with everything from crackers to pizza. And you can\u2019t miss out on the sour cream that LA CREMERIE stocks either.
