Inside, an intimate 36-seat restaurant comes alive with an energetic open-kitchen and gorgeous artwork by Flowers Gallery London that have been carefully selected by Head Chef\/Co-owner Shane Osborn himself. Diners will love Osborn\u2019s locavore vision, including the lovely mini English tropical garden with a variety of herbs, fruits and veggies that also make their way into the menu.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_138324\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-138324\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-138324 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/static.thehoneycombers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/06\/Arcane-Restaurant-European-Hong-Kong-dining-e1497522566830.jpg\" alt=\"Arcane Restaurant European Hong Kong dining\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 900px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 900\/600;\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-138324\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Arcane has an alfresco terrace for fans of the outdoors<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><b>It takes two to tango\u2026<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you\u2019re not already familiar with Pied a Terre in London, Osborn is the very first Australian head chef to lead it to attaining Michelin star status at the tender age of 29. In addition to having a multi-award winning chef at the helm, the wine at Arcane is a main protagonist with the restaurant\u2019s General Manager and Wine Director, Stefano Bartolomei treating guests to pairings that are spot on. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Signature dishes\u2026<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">No stranger to fine ingredients, a meal at Arcane is a visual journey as much as a culinary one. Without further ado, we tucked into Japanese fruit tomato with soft goats curd, leek, onion seeds and marfuga olive oil. This refreshing dish goes perfectly with the light Chablis from Burgundy as both were citrusy with a touch of fruitiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_138339\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-138339\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-138339 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/static.thehoneycombers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/06\/Arcane-Restaurant-European-Hong-Kong-dining-TOMATOES-1-e1497525516890.jpg\" alt=\"Arcane Restaurant European Hong Kong dining TOMATOES 1\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 900px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 900\/600;\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-138339\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Japanese fruit tomato with soft goats curd, leek, onion seeds and marfuga olive oil<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hokkaido scallops are another signature offering and are a must for Osborn because of the tender, sweet and creamy flavours.\u00a0We are big fans of the incredible flavour sensation he accomplishes by serving the raw scallops marinated in apple consomm\u00e9 with lime, jicama and walnuts. Its creamy richness pairs well with a glass of Les Folatieres 2002 from Domaine Leflaive, one of the top producers in the area of Montrachet. This high-quality beef showcases the perfect level of fat and marbling ratio making it soft, tender, juicy and not overly heavy.\u00a0For a perfect explosion of flavors in the mouth, it needs to be balanced by a big red, preferably a glass of Cos d\u2019Estournel 2008 from Saint Est\u00e8phe Bordeaux. This was a wonderful completion for a dish so elaborate. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Like the saying goes, \u201cAll good things tend to come in pairs\u201d &#8211; Mac and cheese, tea and scones, Netflix and chill \u2013 and it\u2019s no different for wine and food.
