And since food is <em>always<\/em> a top priority when exploring a new city, we couldn\u2019t wait try out what its culinary scene had to offer.<\/p>\n<p>First on our list? Macao\u2019s most beloved street snack: Portuguese egg tarts! No trip to the city would be complete without paying a visit to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lordstow.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Lord Stow\u2019s<\/a>: world-famous for their freshly baked, buttery, and sinfully delicious egg tarts that attract snaking queues of hungry customers (including us!) everyday. Tip: eat them while they\u2019re hot \u2013 it\u2019s worth burning your tongue for these bad boys!<\/p>\n<p>The hunt for the most authentic Macanese (Macao-Portuguese) food in the city lead us to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macautower.com.mo\/dining-experience\/tromba-rija\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Trombo Rija<\/a>. With storied origins dating back to 1966 in Portugal, the rustic, family-style restaurant offers stunning waterfront views of the harbour, plus a buffet spread of gourmet cheeses, <em>chourico<\/em> (Portuguese sausage), <em>bacalhau<\/em> (cod fish), and the world-famous <em>leit\u00e3o<\/em> (roasted suckling pig).
