How was the food at The Raw Circus?

Going raw vegan means that you won’t be able to eat anything cooked, such as quinoa, legumes and bread. Upon getting my first meal, I honestly was afraid of not feeling satiated or having to compromise the taste of food, but turned out it wasn’t the case at all. The food was delicately prepared and exquisitely presented with an array of scrumptious sauces, meaning that you can mix and match, and you’ll get full.
Some of my (and my colleagues’) favourite items included the refreshing zucchini rolls, the gorgeous raghetti with tahini dressing, the veggie kofta (made of walnut, sunflower seed, sun-dried tomato), the raw vegan pizza with spinach pesto, the blueberry scones and the lemon coconut nectar cheesecake. Having incorporated a variety of fresh vegetables and seeds, everything was well-seasoned, delectable and packed with mouthfuls of nutty flavour. Personally, I’m a big fan of all their sauces as they really elevated the taste of their overall dishes.

You might think, maybe you liked it because you’re a vegan, right? In fact, our meat-eating colleagues helped finish the food, and one of my colleagues especially gave his big thumbs up to the lemon coconut nectar cheesecake. What The Raw Circus offered was a bit on the earthy side compared to traditional cooked food since they’re raw after all, yet they’ve got all the nutrients and right flavours that leave you feeling satisfied and vibrant.
The Raw Circus manages to create delicious food that also meets our daily nutritional requirements. Having tried multiple innovative raw vegan dishes that have impressed me in the past few days, I would say The Raw Circus would serve well to those who live a raw vegan lifestyle in Hong Kong.
