So when we heard about Suavis Lash Bar in Central, we simply had to go over and try and it. Find out why 3D Russian Volume Lashes are the way forward for anyone looking for a tailored, long-lasting eye enhancement.
Suavis Lash Bar
Conveniently located in LKF, Suavis Lash Bar is a sweet little studio decked out in white. I loved the friendly staff who greeted me when I walked in and helped me change into some cute and comfy slippers. Then, it was on to the consultation. The staff talked me through what i was hoping to achieve with my lashes (Me: I want them so big that they basically open doors) and the best way to get that desired effect according to eye shape.
I’d always thought that I had reasonably long natural lashes (see my before shot here), but being surrounded by so many people wearing lash extensions in Hong Kong, I have grown very fond of a fab dramatic lash, and the team at Suavis helped me to work out exactly how we’d achieve that.
Lash Technique
We decided to go with the 3D Russian Volume Lashes that essentially have multiple lashes on each strand. This meant that an extra 60 lashes would be added to each of my eyes, and while it seems a lot, you can actually opt for up to 100.
Lash Style
There are a variety of options available at Suavis Lash Bar when it comes to the style you want to wear. Day-to-day wearers may opt for the Natural look, which enhances the natural lashes, while the Cute style makes the iris looks bigger, giving that kawaii effect. To achieve the cat-eye effect, the Sexy style is perfect, but I forego all of these for Glamourous, where a longer lash length is used across the entire lid to create show-stopping (and hopefully door-opening) lashes.
Curvature
Not all lashes are created equal, and the next thing you need to decide is the curvature you want for your new look. The technician suggested that it’s best to stick with the general curvature of your natural lashes, so we opted for a C Curve, before moving onto the final step.
Thickness
The last thing you need to decide is how thick you want your new lashes. Suavis Lash Bar offers a range starting from .2mm going all the way up to .25mm, and we decided to go for a .5mm set to balance out all the volume everywhere else.
The Procedure
After being seated on the wonderfully fluffy and cloud-like seats, the technician had me recline and got to work. I’m going to be honest, I fell asleep early into the process, and just over an hour later, I woke up and she was done applying my new lashes.
I absolutely loved the finished the product ($1800). While I couldn’t quite open doors with them, they were really dramatic and meant that I would no longer have to worry about mascara in the mornings – love!
Before I left the salon, they recorded all my design decisions and which glue they had used to make things even easier on my next visit. They also gave me a card with Home Care tips, and a comb for my lashes, as well a tiny brush to help separate.
How long did they last?
I was super impressed with how long my lashes lasted for, and at three weeks I was still getting compliments from people about how great my new lashes looked. Suavis Lash Bar even offers a very well priced removal treatment for just $150.
Overall, my experience at Suavis Lash Bar was flawless. I love the way they listened to what I wanted from my new lashes, and I enjoyed the comforts and convenience of the salon. I will definitely be back for more jaw-dropping lashes soon.
